Reminded me of Bangalore days. Excellent vegetarian restaurant and has v good vibes. It’s a very classy setting in the middle of Manhattan. Loved the gobi Manchurian, manchow soup and Sindhi chapati. Definitely recommend it. Montu is the manager and very friendly. Please specify the spice level 🔥
A well known chain of restaurants in India . Been to their Chennai branch . I always love their chaat items .. but then I went for lunch wanting to eat something other than chaat. They had an exhaustive menu .. looking around the menu , my eyes were obviously wanting the Chole batura :) I know it’s one of their best seller there. .i still wanted to check if anything else .. after I ordered they said there was a lunch special menu !! Why wouldn’t they give it at the first place ? Lunch special items were also not that impressive . It’s kinda a mix of chaat items , Chole batura etc . Lots of space to sit and eat . Obviously there is no parking spots being in the heart of NY .. nice location and easily accessible … close to many other restaurants.. Chole batura was delicious ! One of the best chola puri I have had in NY NJ . Very authentic and the Chole quantity was very good. Batura had very less oil and tasted great .. loved the experience . Wish they had more menu for lunch specials and thanks . 4 stars ..
Large menu of delicious food. Especially chat and paneer appetizer. Very clean restaurant and attentive service.
The most amazing chole bhature I've ever had, courtesy of Kailash Parbat (@kailashparbatnyc). To be fair, was is the only chole bhature I've ever had, but my goodness, was it ever tasty. The flavour of the curry was perfectly balanced, with a delightful zippiness. Makes sense given this place is straight from Mumbai. A word of warning. This dish is very filling—enough for two people. The samosas and and pav bhaji were also great, but the chole bhature was the shining star of this meal.
If you haven’t been to Kailas Parbat in NYC then you are missing out on the real taste of India and specially if you are from Mumbai. This vegetarian place serves the best chat and snacks. I loved the KP chaat Platter, it comes with 3-4 different chaats of various tastes and spice. I liked the bhel puri and dahi wada. Definitely try chole batura, its was very nicely prepared. Our server was from Mumbai and spoke with us in our local languages gave us detailed information about the dishes. Paneer Hariyali was delicious and nicely smoked. I think all doshes here are meticulously prepared to give you the feel of your local food in India. I will highly recommend this place to everyone.
